Dody Staker, Director Dody has been involved in children's ministry all of her adult life, including 29 years experience in directing children's theater. With a BS in Education, Dody was principal of Miami Valley Christian Academy in Cincinnati. She also served as a church pianist and praise and worship leader for 7 years at a Cincinnati area church. She and her husband, Johnny, (aka “Mr. Dody”) have been married 45 years and have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. Having recently moved to Georgetown, Dody noticed a lack of fine arts programs for the Brown County children and, along with the other CTC leadership team members, decided to start Christian Theatre for Children.
Jill McCarley Dotson, Producer Jill was raised in Georgetown and graduated from GHS. She has been married to her husband, Dale for 41 years. They have two children, Joni and Mike (Amanda) Dotson, and one grandchild, Mallory. The Dotson have lived out of town for many years and have recently returned to Georgetown to care for Jill’s mother, Jan McCarley, and to be closer to her family. Jill enjoys spending time with her granddaughter, gardening, and working outside. She also enjoys volunteer work and is excited to give back to the community.
Sandy Eversole, Musical Director Sandy is a lifetime resident of Georgetown. She was an active member of GHS music department and has a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from The Ohio State University and an MA in Education from Mt. St. Joseph College. Recently retired, Sandy taught music at all levels for the Western Brown Local Schools for 37 years and taught music education and theory classes at Chatfield College while accompanying the Chatfield Sound choral group. As a member of the Georgetown Presbyterian Church for 45 years, she has served as church organist and pianist for 36 years where Sandy's husband, Dave, now serves as the church pastor. Having been married for 36 years, the Eversoles have 2 daughters, and 3 grandsons.
Debbie Adkins, Stage Manager Debbie has lived in the Georgetown area all of her life and was active in the community as a soloist and pianist. She has been a member of the Georgetown Church of Christ for her entire life, where she served as organist/pianist for many years and has been a long time Bible study facilitator. She and her husband, Bob, of 30 years, have served as Youth Coaches at their church. Debbie is now retired after serving 25 years as the Court Stenographer for the Brown County Common Pleas Court. When she’s not managing the stage for CTC, Debbie and Bob love to travel, especially to the Rocky Mountains, and have driven to every state in the continental U.S.
Dolores Stuhlreyer, Production Assistant Dolores joined the CTC crew for our Christmas show last year. She lives in Georgetown with her husband, John, of 22 years. She is a retired cosmetology instructor for Southern Hills Career & Technical Center where she served for 20 years. Dolores currently works part time at the Hair Factor in Mt. Washington. She combined her vocal skills and love for music as a member of the Sweet Adelines in Cincinnati and Dayton for over 20 years She tells us she, “loves working with the amazing and talented children of CTC!”
Dusty Gray, Set Design & Construction Dusty has been in education all of her life, through teaching, coaching, and administration in the Western Brown School District. Her hobby with woodworking is a passion! She has built sets for Hamersville Jr. High and for Western Brown High School. “Everything I know about woodworking is a direct result of countless hours working alongside my father. I know GOD’S hands and my dad’s hands have been right there with me during the construction of the Christian Theatre for Children’s sets.”
